Who Is the Weekly School For?

The Weekly School is open to all experience levels — from students discovering musical theatre for the first time, to those already considering further training or drama school pathways.

It is ideal for:

  • Students who love performing and want to grow in confidence

  • Young performers developing skills for GCSE, A-Level or BTEC Performing Arts

  • Those exploring auditions, LAMDA exams or further training routes

  • Students seeking structured, high-quality training in a supportive environment

No previous experience is required. Training is adapted within each group to ensure beginners feel supported and more experienced performers feel challenged.

Training Stages (Age-Based Grouping)

Students are grouped by age and stage of development, creating a safe, confident and socially appropriate learning environment. Within each group, training is carefully differentiated to meet individual needs.

Foundation (10–12 years)
Building confidence, basic technique and enjoyment of performance
Focus on core skills, creativity, ensemble work and self-belief

Developing (13–15 years)
Strengthening technique, performance quality and musical theatre style
Increased focus on discipline, detail, storytelling and performance craft

Pre-Professional (16–18 years)
Advanced training for students considering further training or auditions
Focus on audition technique, performance refinement and industry awareness

This structured pathway allows students to progress naturally and confidently as they grow.

What to Expect Each Week

Every Friday, students take part in a structured, high-quality musical theatre training programme covering all three core disciplines: Acting, Singing and Dance.

Sessions are practical, engaging and progressive, with clear learning aims designed to build both skill and confidence.

Students develop:

  • Acting skills through technique, storytelling, script work, character development, improvisation and ensemble work, building strong communication skills and stage presence.

  • Singing technique through healthy vocal development, musical theatre repertoire, performance and interpretation, with opportunities for both solo and group singing.

  • Dance skills through musical theatre styles, developing strength, coordination, musicality and expressive movement, with age-appropriate technical training.

The Weekly School curriculum is carefully designed to build strong technical foundations, nurture confident and expressive performers, and support individual creativity. Training prepares students for auditions, exams and performance opportunities, while also encouraging personal growth, resilience and self-belief.

StageReady Academy is more than weekly classes — it is a training hub and supportive community where every student is guided with care and expertise. We believe confidence comes before perfection, every student deserves expert teaching, and progress looks different for every performer.

Our aim is not to rush young people — but to prepare them properly, ensuring they feel confident, capable and truly StageReady.
